Yuri the Spaceman, formerly known as StanleysSearch, is a notable figure in the lostwave community, best known as the creator of Lostwave Central and an active member of the FMM Discord server. Initially gaining attention during the search for Just A Game, Yuri has since shifted his focus to smaller, lesser-known searches. Much of his time is now spent recording songs from various radio stations, where he sources the majority of his music discoveries. He also serves as a moderator of the r/lostwave Subreddit.
Primarily recognized as an artist, Yuri is also an original poster of lostwave music. Most of his tracks have been found on online radio and at his workplace’s radio station. Currently, five of his shared songs remain unidentified, with his first upload known as the "Unknown Russian Rock Song." As of September 2024, Yuri has been consistently sharing new finds on his WatZatSong account and YouTube channel, sometimes uploading songs from other sources within the lostwave genre.
Before Lostwave
Despite being in the community for a while, Yuri's involvement in 2019-2023 wasn't noticeable. He wasn't very active in the community and most of his work were uploads bringing attention to different lost media cases. His focus was mostly on art and he was known on his different social media accounts. He never found much popularity by posting his artwork despite his efforts. It would be in early 2024 that Yuri posted a drawing based on Just A Game's placeholder image on its respective subreddit which would change the course of his involvement in the community,
Early involvement
Yuri shared that he has been part of the community since 2019 but remained largely inactive until mid-2023. Under his Reddit username, he was primarily engaged in the Just A Game Subreddit, where he shared artwork inspired by the song's placeholder image. After a brief hiatus of a month and a half for personal reasons, he returned with a renewed focus.
Current activities
Today, Yuri is involved in smaller, niche music searches, though his visibility outside the FMM Discord has been growing. This increase in engagement coincides with the release of Lostwave Central, a comic project he had been developing for several months. Additionally, his YouTube channel has gained new life as he began uploading previously unknown songs recorded from various radio stations. With time, his uploads became more frequent, leading to steady growth for his channel.
On November 1, 2024, Yuri became a moderator for the r/lostwave Subreddit, and just a few days later, on November 3, he was credited as one of the solvers of Oops, I'm Pregnant Again.

- Yuri's current Youtube channel was actually dedicated to shitposting and some art projects. It wasn't until he became active in the lostwave community that it would take a different turn and become a channel for him to upload music.
