The song originated from season three, episode two, of the TV show T.J. Hooker, Carnal Express, which aired on October 3rd, 1984. The episode included another unidentified song, You're A Dancer, neither of the songs were credited.
On November 29th, 2017, user Tedfufu posted the scene the song was in to YouTube as apart of his "Stupid Shit in TJ Hooker" series, but it cut off the song's beginning. He also posted a snippet of You're A Dancer that same day.
The first person to ask who the song was by was user Videoman Sky on July 8th, 2021, but they never recieved a response.
On October 17th, 2022, the song was posted to the Internet Archive by user TJ-Hooker.com, along with 24 other songs from the show. Each song had a description, with this song's reading:
"Source music for Stacy's turn as an exotic dancer at The Pleasure Palace. A heavy backbeat and throaty vocals by an anonymous female artist accompany Stacy during her foot-tapping, finger-snapping spectacle."
On June 5th, 2024, user Gymforma reposted the song to WatZatSong, asking who it was made by. He also posted You're A Dancer a week later.
On August 3rd, 2025, user Rapid Response, a channel dedicated to posting full episodes of police and doctor shows, posted the full episode to YouTube. The song played 21 minutes and 46 seconds in, and You're A Dancer played at 33:17.
