X-Cerpt (previously known as "We Only Have This Excerpt") is a formerly unidentified breakbeat techno song by New York based trio Mosesonacid, released in 1992.

Search History[]

The song was broadcast on BBC Radio 1 on May 28th, 1993, and was hosted by John Peel. The song could not be played in full due to technical problems involving the turntable stopping randomly.

On March 4th, 2025, YouTube user Q reuploaded the song to her channel with the placeholder name of "We Only Have This Excerpt." 14 hours later, on March 5th, 2025, TechnooiD identified it as as X-Cerpt by Mosesonacid.

Mosesonacid was a techno, trance, and breakbeat trio from Peekskill, New York, USA.

None of the members’ names are known.

In 1992, they released their first and only EP, X-Cerpt, which included this song and three others.
