"What Do I Get" is an unidentified song that was commonly misattributed to the band Depeche Mode. It’s most likely made the OP himself, but there’s more info needed.

The song was first uploaded onto Youtube by user BaronVonPenguin on July 19th, 2011, miscrediting the song to the band Depeche Mode and claimed it as an unreleased demo from the 1980s. He didn’t provide any information about where he got the song.
Around seven years later, user fatherfintanstack8810 commented on the upload saying that various people keep labeling artists without much proof and decided to place a 250$ bounty for whoever found the full song and fully identify the artist behind it.
Over time, the song was reuploaded to YouTube by several users, such as No Background, Q, LostwaveFinder, AlianTheObscure, 𝑀𝑟. 𝐶ℎ𝑖𝑝𝑠, and multiple others, amassing over 6k views.
On December 17th, 2024, LostwaveFinder reuploaded the song. In the comments, he theorized it was made by the OP due to the song having no mention other than his video.
On June 25th, 2025, the OP was asked where he got the song from by user Samuel’s Reposts after he became active again, and he said the song was made by him around 20 years ago[1]. But due to lack of any more information, the song can only be considered nearly solved.
