Want You Back (formerly known as I Just Want You Back) is a formerly unidentified pop-punk song by Greek band Suave Gap. It was featured in a Russian Fanta commercial around 2005.

Search History

One of the first appearances of this song online dates back to 2016. YouTube user sonic-vhs (Миша Кулак) uploaded a commercial break recording featuring a Fanta ad, along with ads from other companies.

Later on, the song was shared on WatZatSong by user srv2002, who described it as "An English-language song from a 2005 Russian Fanta commercial." He also posted a link to the full commercial.

Unfortunately srv2002 deleted the post, but user Dzen47 (the same user who uploaded the album "Telefon" was included) reuploaded to his page.

On August 10, 2024, user avarioteka disko posted the snippet on Youtube. He also made an AI extended version of it. It was also discovered that the same song was used in two different Fanta commercials. It is unknown if the company who produced the commercials has been contacted regarding the song.

On August 16th, 2024 user NovaSir discovered a Romanian Fanta advertisement that used the same song.

On September 6th, 2024, user STRANGER [Fan Channel] commented in one of the song's uploads and solved it as Want You Back by Greek pop punk band Suave Gap. At the same time, user Anika Mathur found the song on YouTube and posted it on the wiki discussion board.

Lyrics

[Intro]
Sha na na na na na
Na na, na na
Sha na na na na na
Na na, na na

[Verse 1]
I don't want to ever see you go
I only wish that you would give me a call
Do you know I want to be with you
All the time?

[Verse 2]
I don't care what your friends and parents say
Don't think they ever liked me anyway
Just want to say one thing
I miss you

[Chorus 1]
Days gone, I want to see you smile
And after all, I don't want to waste no time
Girl you know you're always on my mind
I just want you back
Just want you back

[Hook]
Sha na na na na na
Na na, na na
Sha na na na na na
Na na, na na
Sha na na na na na
Na na, na na
Sha na na na na na
Na na, na na

[Verse 3]
I remember kissing in the sun
Drinking, dancing, having fun
Walking on the beach for days girl

[Verse 4]
See your face on every movie screen
Write your name on my old jeans
And I still say
That I miss you

[Chorus 2]
You're the one who truly speaks to me
And you know all I want to ever be
Girl you know you're always on my mind
I just want you back
Just want you back

[Hook]
Sha na na na na na
Na na, na na
Sha na na na na na
Na na, na na
Sha na na na na na
Na na, na na
Sha na na na na na
Na na, na na

[Bridge]
Just want you back
Just want you back

[Outro]
Sha na na na na na
Na na, na na
Sha na na na na na
Na na, na na
Sha na na na na na
Na na, na na
Sha na na na na na
Na na, na na
