Not to be confused with "Walls To Rubble".

"Walls of Fire" is an unidentified synth-pop song, recorded off an unknown radio station in New Jersey/New York on c. 1985.

The song is likely a demo of Walls of Fire by Armand Zone, or possibly a similar case to Paradise Eyes by Chemistry Set, a live recording broadcasted on the radio, potentially from Max's Kansas City. Armand Zone frequently preformed there with his brothers, dating back as far back as 1978 when in the band, The Fast. There is audio of Mandy & O-Zone preforming here in 1981, with vocal similarities.

On June 10th, 2023, user Kenny Cathead posted a one hour and 25-minute video titled “Unknown” to YouTube. It featured many snippets recorded off of the radio in the 1980s. The song plays at the 1:22:39 mark.

Kenny reposted the snippet to WatZatSong account NY80sTapes on July 17th, 2023, it was recorded off of a New York or New Jersey based radio station in the 1980s.

"New Wave track called 'Walls of Fire'. There's one by Armand Zone, but when you hear that one in YouTube, this isn't it".

On November 24th, 2023, on the FMM Discord thread for the songs he posted, Kenny said that he wasn’t the person who recorded the tapes, but instead a friend who was trying to make a sound collage, but he recorded a few things.[1]

On December 8th, 2024, WatZatSong user Kyterkay contacted Armand Zone's brother, Paul Zone, but he still has not responded. Armand isn’t able to be contacted due to him passing away in 1993.

On January 26th, 2025, YouTube user Q reuploaded the snippet to her channel. A day later, Antonio’s Remastered Works uploaded a remaster of the song.

On October 5th, 2025, the song was put in verification needed after Kyterkay wrote an essay, breaking down the NY80s version and comparing with the final song.[2]
