Unknown Chinafake Jingle Bells is a cover of the 1857 Christmas song "Jingle Bells" by James Pierpont from an unknown singer. It's a sound module to many generic or Chinafake santas, most likely originating from a licenced early 2000's Christmas item.
History[]
The song was discovered on kineticco.com's Directory, where is owned by the Hong Kong-based company Kinetic Enterprises Co. Considering this origin, the song is/was most likely used in a sound module manufactured by there. The dictionary also contains various songs from unknown artists as well.
On January 13th 2020, YouTube user Princ-o-tronics (now Renotagoner) posted the song and added the link of the website where the song was discovered to the video's description. The video got 3,600 views ever since the article for the song was created in September of 2024.
Leads and Theories[]
On January 25th 2024, YouTube user なんてつったってぺぺぺネ推しだから!! (@justASD_581) theorised that the song was made by the USA artist Pat Boone by discovering the text "Pat Boone Version" linked to the kineticco.com's Directory page while he was searching Chinafake Wiki for the song, which was a misunderstanding.
It's likely that the recording was made for use in a toy specifically, which is the case in songs like this ONE. If so, it's highly possible a longer version was never recorded or shared.
Lyrics[]
The lyrics are the same as James Pierpont's original song. Only the chorus is sung.
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way,
Oh what fun it is to ride
In a one-horse open sleigh, O
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way,
Oh what fun it is to ride
In a one-horse open sleigh.
Trivia[]
- The origin of the image that Princ-o-tronic associated with the song is also missing at this time. The image seems to originally have been posted onto Alibaba's official site. It is unknown whether it's still on the site.
