Search History[]
On May 29th, 2013, user Mackie Messer uploaded multiple videos to YouTube, all sourced from the same CD, asking for the titles. None of the uploads had any additional information except for that they originated from a broken CD.
On May 3rd, 2025, LostwaveFinder re-uploaded the song, followed by AlianTheObscure on the same day.
On May 10th, 2025, MuzikDog identified the song as Underachiever by Slumber after running it through the MusicBrainz mode on Werzatsong. Shortly after, user slim (in the north pole) found the CD OP had gotten the songs from, therefore solving all of Mackie Messer's other songs.
Lyrics[]
[Verse 1]
I'm getting older and I don't know if I'll ever be the same
I'm finding changes all the time,
I don't like what I see today
I've got black circles where my eyes should be
But I don't really care
Sometimes I climb out on my roof and check out everyone down there
[Chorus]
I don't know why
I never try
Wish I was high
If you love me, anybody else would never know
[Verse 3]
[?] crosses over in his shadowed room, he's acting very strange
He says he'll visit San Francisco, if he likes it he might stay
Someone keeps talking in a boring tone,
I know just what he means
I saw a man get beat up on TV,
I made a million free/three (?)
[Chorus]
I don't know why
I never try
Wish I was high
If you love me, anybody else would never know
[Guitar solo]
[Chorus 3]
I'm doing rehab in a tiny room,
I'm going at the walls
My girlfriend says she really loves me,
But I don't know if she'll call
I tried for (?) law school,
But my grades were low, I barely made it by
Now I'm a failure cause I'll never make that much before I die
[Chorus]
I don't know why
I never try
Wish I was high
If you love me, anybody else would never know
