Ugly Girl is an unidentified parody of the song Barbie Girl, by Danish europop group Aqua.

The song was supposedly created by an independent parody artist and composer named Adam Henderson in 1999, with the registration of an AMV (Anime Music Video) with the song on an anime music videos forum[1].
However, Adam Henderson cannot be identified and there is no evidence that he was the person who did it. Adam Henderson may be a misattribution due to a song parody writer on AmIRight.com having the same name.
The origins of the song have been unknown and enquired about since at least 1998. Archived Usenet posts have been discovered asking about the origins of the song.
The song has been played on various offbeat and obscure radio stations, as logged on their playlists, however none of them have known the artist. The prevailing theory is that the recording we have may have been taped off the radio due to both the quality and an "explosion" sound at the beginning of the recording, suggesting a crossfade from an ident or another piece of music.
The song was reuploaded onto multiple Peer-to-Peer sites such as Napster where it began getting misattributed to other musicians.
The song is misattributed to several artists, such as Weird Al Yankovic, the group Aqua itself and the rock band Jack Off Jill. Weird Al Yankovic and Jack Off Jill both stated that they never made the song.[2]
