Tribes (formerly known as Experimental Electronic Bit 1) is a formerly unidentified experimental electronic song by Delaware based musician Woz (real name Paul Woznicki), released in 1981 on the album WOZ.

On June 10th, 2023, user Kenny Cathead posted a one hour and 25 minute video titled “Unknown” to YouTube. It featured many snippets recorded off of the radio in the 1980s. The snippet played nine minutes and twenty-seven seconds in.
Kenny reposted the song to WatZatSong account NY80sTapes on June 17th, 2023, giving it the placeholder title “Experimental Electronic Bit 1”. It was recorded off of a radio station in New York or New Jersey in 1982. However, it was sped up likely due to the DJ messing with the record player
On November 24th, 2023, on the FMM Discord thread for the songs he posted, Kenny said that he wasn’t the person who recorded the tapes, but instead a friend who was trying to make a sound collage, but he recorded a few things.
On June 23rd, 2025, YouTuber Q reuploaded the snippet on her channel.
On July 11th, 2025, the song was identified by Discord user backtodecember./fin as Tribes by Woz after user Basketry brought up the possibility of slowing it down and putting it through WerZatSong, and Fin slowed down the snippet and Shazamed it.
