The song was first posted to WatZatSong on January 4th, 2025, by user pilo. The song originated from a cassette that was from around 2003 to 2004. Due to WZS's copyright rule, pilo had to provide a Vocaroo link to the full recording.
On March 20th, 2025, popular lostwave uploader "Ziro" would reupload the song onto her YouTube channel, giving the song more attention.
On April 21st, 2025, user "Technooid" posted a 40-second snippet of the song onto YouTube, which was more higher quality than the original quality pilo gave. They knew the song’s name and were gatekeeping it until the six remaining songs they posted get identified. In the video’s description, they said “The real track title is way better. You know the deal”.
On May 5th, 2025, the song was identified by WatZatSong user Pace as Todos Los Chicos Son Igual (Remix) by Rebeca, presumably after finding an upload of it online.
