On May 13th, 2011, YouTube user C. G. (Inboxcarol) would upload a 30 second video to their channel titled "Unknown Dance Music 07". Unfortunately, they wouldn't provide any further information on where the song came from. For nearly 11 years the song wouldn't get much attention, and no progress was made in the search.
On September 8th, 2024, YouTube user Skinwalker would re-upload the song to his channel under the placeholder name of "I Have To Say" followed by Jcorsen on the 11th under the placeholder name of "Please Don't Forget Me", bringing more attention to the search.
Six months later on March 2nd, 2025, YouTube user Orange's stuff dump would feature the song in a compilation of unknown songs. Thirteen days later on March 15th, 2025, YouTube user ISHOWVOCODE would identify the song as "The First Of My Love" by Phantom after finding an upload of the song on YouTube.
