The Fire Inside - Songs for Teresa by GALAXY is a music album released in 1987.
Search History[]
Between 1986 and 1988, T.Rex Music in Hannover, Germany and another team at a different studio (before 1986) produced high quality pop, eurodisco and rock music for the movies of Teresa Orlowski’s VTO PICTURES. The main people behind the songs were Thilo Rex (RIP) and Lothar Meyer (RIP), the studio's engineer, who did most of the drum programming.
Together with a team of changing additional studio musicians, they recorded around 80 songs with vocals for VTO/Teresa Orlowski as well as countless instrumental tracks for the x-scenes.
The musicians, singers and producers involved used the alias GALAXY. Actually, some of the songs have been released on the official MC/LP/CD "The Fire Inside - Songs for Teresa" - but the others are still unavailable officially and only scattered all over the VTO VHS tapes in intros, trailers, previews, clips etc. - most of them being incomplete.
Unfortunately, most of the master tapes don’t exist anymore and sadly, some of the most important people involved - such as Thilo and Lothar - have already passed away. Back in the mid-2000s, Thilo had already told that releasing the vocal tracks would be next to impossible as even he himself didn't have any master tapes of the vocal tracks.
When VTO closed down, the tape masters had already been in very bad shape and were thrown away.
The vocalists for VTO were usually only hired to sing on 2-3 songs. Back in the 80s - especially in the Italo Disco / Eurodisco scene, it was a common thing to use someone else's photo on an vinyl cover. So, the vocalists did their job, got paid and didn't expect anything more. None of them got a copy of the final song. It was "a job" for them and they did it not only for Thilo and VTO but also at other studios. No one kept any notes or lists of those hired musicians and vocalists and even though several people were talked to about this, they don't remember either or want to remain anonymous as they don't have any info or masters themselves. There is just no official release except for the VHS tapes of VTO Pictures. In every single case, the band/project/artist name is GALAXY. VTO has never used any outside producers from another studio than Thilo's after 1986, except for the two songs by Shannon.
False information[]
- There's some false information on the web claiming there are CDs, created from the master tapes but that's not correct. It's not worth paying anything for them if someone offers them to you, since they will only be tracks that can already be found on the Internet. Some of the other GALAXY tracks can be heard here: https://soundcloud.com/anime-otaku-jiraiya-sama
- Someone called "oliver disco" uploaded a video to YouTube where he lists “Kristin Wagner” as the singer of "Let's Get Up", however this is a hoax.
- Another channel lists a "Mary Singler-Maissner" as the singer, however this is also false and made up.
- Some people claimed that "Everyone Knows That was made for VTO: "it's on a rare best of vinyl" (or similar). This is false information, the Booth Brothers have nothing to do with VTO Pictures.

Theories and debunked leads[]

Isabelle Torilla and Larry Bonneville
On September 3, 2024, Reddit user u/flame_will_consume suggested that the unidentified female singer from the live version of "The Fire Inside" could also be the singer who performed "Let's Get Up" and "La La La". This has been disproven, as all the other performers in the music video for "The Fire Inside", with the exception of Larry Bonneville, whose traces have vanished, have confirmed that they did not perform on any of the songs:
"The woman who can be seen in the video clip (recorded 1986 at the discotheque KU in Garbsen) is not the real vocalist of the song. She was a performer in the adult film business, starring in several VTO productions. Same goes for the other musicians. I've been able to find all of them except for the dancer wearing the blonde wig and they were all part of the Hannover music scene back in the day."[1]
Trivia[]
- The chances to get all those "lost" songs released is very low due to master issue and a very complicated legal situation and the fact that some of the creators are not interested in releasing the music properly.
- According to musician Mirko Hirsch, these songs are "solved" because GALAXY is the name of this group of people: "That’s why all these VTO / Galaxy songs technically don’t classify as “unknown songs” and/or “unsolved”." However, some people argue that this is not entirely true, since the specific individuals who participated in the creation of all these songs are unknown and prefer to be anonymous, but since identification of those people is not possible, this is as far as it can be "solved" . Also, the main persons behind the project are identified.
