The song played sometime during the video. Kenny reposted the song to his WatZatSong account NY80sTapes on June 18th, 2023, giving it the placeholder name “Spooky Synthpop 1”. On July 14th, 2024, the song was identified by YouTube user MaxManyMix as an alternate version of The Deaf Mute by R. Stevie Moore after finding it on a WFMU playlist. It’s most likely a live version made when he worked as WFMU.
