Lyrics[]
Circle City
Circle, Circle, Circle City
I see you standing there with nothing to do
So pick up a chair, and let me rap to you
You got time on your hands, and money in your jeans
You better listen up and get on the scene
And now every hear when the fall winds blow
The people get together for the year's best show
The Circle City Classic is the name of the game
When two tough teams come out to state their play
It's college football and it's very best
The fans come from north, east, south, and west
It really doesn't matter from where you come
The main thing you wanna do is have some fun
Now classic acts is not all you see
The battle of the fans will be history
And if struttin' the style is your thing
The game up there, will really make you swing
Circle City Classic (city classic)
Place you ought to be, yeah
Circle City Classic (city classic)
Grace for you and me
Circle City Classic (city classic)
Place you ought to know, oh
Come and join the show
Circle City
Circle, Circle City
Now the real meat of the classic, is the action on the ground
It's push and shove and tackle hard
And bumping heads all around
Now the cats from central, and the cats from FLA
Who scratch it out in the Hoosier Dome
Getting down on every play
The score goes up, the fans cheer,
And the coaches lose their grace
Snip and tuck for at least three quarters
Then both teams pick up the pace
And then the final whistle blows
The winner will be crowned
The fans, the fans, the players and coaches
All start to party down
The music's loud, the energy high
And the juices start to flow
People laugh, dance, and sing
And talk about this year's show
Circle City Classic (city classic)
Place you ought to be, yeah
Circle City Classic (city classic)
Grace for you and me
Circle City Classic (city classic)
Place you ought to know, oh
Come and join the show
The dawn of tomorrow breaks in the Indi skies
And sister's have departed
The many volunteers bring out their brooms
And cleanup is soon started
And one thing I know without a doubt, and I say this with a grin
That late next year when the fall wind blows we'll do it all over again
Circle City Classic (city classic)
Place you ought to be, yeah
Circle City Classic (city classic)
Grace for you and me, yeah
Circle City Classic (city classic)
Place you ought to know, oh
Circle City Classic (city classic)
Come and join the show
Circle City Classic (city classic, yeah)
You've got to be there, be there, yeah (Circle City Classic)
