”That’s The Magic” (also known as ”W•H•A•T”) is an unidentified city pop/disco song from a 1987 Japanese promotional S-VHS.

The song originates from a promotional S-VHS called "The World of High Quality", which was used to demonstrate the image quality of the HR-S7000 VCR. The tape was made in the late 1980s and sold in Japan. The song was most likely made for the tape.
The tape was originally posted to YouTube on May 22nd, 2021 by user Reely Interesting. The model in the video is unknown, but she’s likely Victoria Lockwood[1], a British fashion model. Reely provided information about the tape in the description. Also in the description, they said:
"The background audio is probably the most interesting part of this tape. Based around the word "WHAT", this catchy, generic 80's synthpop track will stump you with it's lyrics. +10 internet points to the first person to figure them out."
On February 19th, 2024, the song was posted to WatZatSong by user windlamp. He claimed to have found the song on a Sony digital voice recorder, likely from the 2000s, which he bought from a Goodwill in Northern California. The snippet was only 25 seconds, and the OP said they didn’t have a longer version.
Over time, the song was reuploaded to YouTube by several users, such as Aero, Eccote, LightLostwave, Carlwave, Q, Zumi, S2h, LostwaveFinder, SpikeytheCactus, AlianTheObscure, 𝑀𝑟. 𝐶ℎ𝑖𝑝𝑠, Rocketballboi, and multiple others, amassing over 65k views.
On September 18th, 2024, a channel for the song was created on the Fond my Mind Discord after it won a channel poll with Back When We Were Kings, H-Bomb, I'd Rather Be A Rockstar, and Take Me Far Away. Five days later, user PersonOfDistraction placed a $50 bounty on the songs' solves.
The FMM channel was originally in the "Other Unknown Songs (2)" category, but was promoted to the "Other Unknown Songs (1)" category on September 15th, 2025 due to other unidentified song Christmas With You being removed due to the singer wanting to remain anonymous.
On October 20th, 2025, the song's FMM channel was demoted to the "Other Unknown Songs (3)" category along with eight others following the category's creation.
