"Te Tengo Que Olvidar" is a formerly unidentified cumbia song by Argentinian band Sonido Norteño, released in 2009 on the album Preso De Tu Amor.

On July 17th, 2021, YouTube user J T 2 3 posted the song onto the site in hopes of identification. The song was recorded onto a cassette tape off of a radio station in Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain in 2013.
On February 6th, 2022, in the comments theorized that the band behind the song were Argentinian or Peruvian, the OP responded, saying the radio station commonly played local bands, he also said the DJ credited the song as “Sonido De Ortega”.
On October 9th, 2022, the OP responded to a comment theorizing that the song sounded “old”, saying that most of the songs on the tape were from 2010-2013.
On February 7th, 2023, the OP commented on the video, listing the full tracklist of the tape. The oldest song was from 1987, and the newest was from 2012. Most of the songs were by Canary Island and Argentinian bands.
On April 5th, 2024, the OP replied to a comment asking where they got the cassette from, saying that all of the songs they posted were originally recorded off of various radio stations by their grandmother.[1]
On April 14th, 2024, the song was identified by user "chino" as "Te Tengo Que Olvidar" by Sonido Norteño after they found an upload of the full album on YouTube.

Sonido Norteño was a cumbia band from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
None of the band members are known.
In 2009, they released their first and only album, Preso De Tu Amor, which included this song.
Shortly after, the band disbanded.
