Southbound is a formerly unidentified southern rock cover of Hour Glass' song of the same name by late Massachusetts based musician Alex Taylor, released in 1971 on the album Alex Taylor With Friends And Neighbors.

The song was posted to WatZatSong on October 14th, 2015, by Cool80. They only said "rock", but didn’t provide any information about where the song came from, nor a longer snippet.
On May 14th, 2023, WZS user Nonoseacrest discovered that the song was a cover of Southbound by Hour Glass, but they weren't able to find the specific cover.
The OP is still active, and despite multiple people asking for more information and the full versions, they don't say anything, except for thanking the people who solve their songs.
On January 1st, 2025, the song was identified by the YouTube copyright system as Southbound by Alex Taylor after the album was added to streaming services.
