Search History[]
On June 10th, 2023, user Kenny Cathead posted a one hour and 25 minute video titled “Unknown” to YouTube. It featured many snippets recorded off of the radio in the 1980s. The song played twenty minutes and forty-one seconds into the video.
Kenny reposted the song to his WatZatSong account on June 30th, 2023. He said it was recorded off of a New York or New Jersey based radio station in the early 1980s.
On November 24th, 2023, on the FMM Discord thread for the songs he posted, Kenny said that he wasn’t the person who recorded the tapes, but instead a friend who was trying to make a sound collage, but he recorded a few things.
On November 30th, 2024, YouTube user Max Many Mix (known for solving a lot of Kenny's lost songs) identified the song as "Someone's Changing" by Europeans, presumably after finding it on a WFMU playlist.
Lyrics[]
[Verse 1]
Someone's changing
Changing you
Someone that you never were
It's beginning to show
See it in your dress
I see it in the way you move
The way you handle people
The way your body talks to you
[Chorus]
Woah-oh oh oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh
Woah-oh oh oh, oh-oh-oh, oh, oh
Woah-oh oh oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh
Woah-oh oh oh, oh-oh-oh, oh, oh
[Verse 2]
Someone's working hard
Trying to impress
Somebody that isn't me
Be treated to this
I feel it all around
It's painful and it's hurting still
You're heading for a fall
I wonder if you ever will
[Chorus]
Woah-oh oh oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh
Woah-oh oh oh, oh-oh-oh, oh, oh
Woah-oh oh oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh
Woah-oh oh oh, oh-oh-oh, oh, oh
[Post-chorus]
Woah-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh, oh-oh
[Pre-chorus]
Someone's changing
Changing you
[Chorus]
Woah-oh oh oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh
Woah-oh oh oh, oh-oh-oh, oh, oh
Woah-oh oh oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh
Woah-oh oh oh, oh-oh-oh, oh, oh
Woah-oh oh oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh
Woah-oh oh oh, oh-oh-oh, oh, oh
