She’s A Star (formerly known as I Wanna Be A Star) is a formerly unidentified new wave/indie rock song by Boston based band B.J., Beth, & The Breakdowns, it was unreleased but played by Peter Choyce on WERS on January 3rd, 1981.

The song was played by Peter Choyce on WERS on January 3rd, 1981. Peter announces the band as B.J., Beth, & The Breakdowns but doesn't say what the title is. The full broadcast was posted to MixCloud in August of 2024 by user The Peter Choyce Radio Archive.
On November 2nd, 2024, user Choyce reposted the song to WatZatSong, asking who made it.
On January 3rd, 2025, Mike Worst found out more information about the group he group after looking into The Boston Pheonix. It consisted of Barbara Joy Plattner and Beth Caurant, and they've made a video for another song titled Rude Girls Don't Make Coffee, and their voice sounds identical.
On March 30th, 2025, user Mike Worst reposted the song to YouTube.
On June 4th, 2025, user Isara108, the same person who uploaded Rude Girls Don’t Make Coffee, contacted user IRLHM on Genius, she said she was B.J.’s daughter and asked if IRLHM was looking for info on B.J. IRLHM responded, explaining who TPCRA is, and asked if she knew the song’s title.
Two days later, on June 6th, 2025, the song was fully identified as She’s A Star by B.J., Beth, & The Breakdowns after Isara responded and said that B.J. confirmed that the title was She’s A Star.
