On December 13th, 2022, the OP discovered the song was about the Mensalão scandal, a scandal which involved accusations that Brazilian politician Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva was buying votes. The scandal happened in June of 2005, so the song couldn’t have been from before that.
On December 18th, 2022, the OP reposted the song to YouTube. On the same day, user Courja discovered the song was a parody of A Patroa Me Contou by Emilinha Borba (1966).
On December 23rd, 2022, the OP said the song possibly was downloaded onto their PC in 2016. On the same day, they said the metadata didn’t have an artist name and just said “unknown album in Portuguese, and no artist name”.
2024[]
On April 17th, 2024, the OP came back and said the song came from a CD they owned. They said the didn’t know where the CD was, but it might’ve been in their CD collections.
On April 24th, 2024, the song was reposted to YouTube by user Q. Shortly after, user Brazilian Lost Medias brought up the possibly of the “MCC” at the beginning of the song referring to a group from Brazil called “Movement Against Corruption”. The group started in 2011, the same year the song was made.
Later that month, the OP said the metadata listed the date of the song as being made on March 3rd, 2011, at 10:09 PM. On the same day, user Conor asked why the OP has this song on their hardrive, and the OP said it might’ve been downloaded by their father or grandfather, as they also used the PC.
In May of 2024, the OP said the song might’ve came from a site with "frog or toad on it”. They also brought up the possibility of it being from their CD collection again. A few days later they posted a link to the song’s file.
2025[]
On January 11th, 2025, a user discovered a song called O Segredo Do Sue José by Galvão Freire. The song was made for Caico’s 2011 carnival event. The MCC at the start of the song most likely means Marchincha Carnival De Caicó.
On January 16th, 2025, Galvão was contacted confirmed that the song made for Caico’s 2011 carnival events wasn’t by him and it was a mislabel. However, this still doesn’t rule out the possibility of the song made for Caico’s carnival being the same song as this one.

MCC informa
Seu josé me contou um segredo
E eu gravei no celular
Como eu não sabia que era pra guardar
Eu resolvi espalhar
Seu josé me contou um segredo
E eu gravei no celular
Como eu não sabia que era pra guardar
Eu resolvi espalhar
Um grupinho de amigos
Me pedia uma bolada (dividia uma bolada?)
Cada um recebia sua parte
E para o povo não sobrava nada
No dia da eleição
Não esqueça esse segredo
Eles ficam com o mensalão
E você fica chupando o dedo
Seu josé me contou um segredo
E eu gravei no celular
Como eu não sabia que era pra guardar
Eu resolvi espalhar
Seu josé me contou um segredo
E eu gravei no celular
Como eu não sabia que era pra guardar
Eu resolvi espalhar
Um grupinho de amigos
Me pedia uma bolada (dividia uma bolada?)
Cada um recebia sua parte
E para o povo não sobrava nada
No dia da eleição
Não esqueça esse segredo
Eles ficam com o mensalão
E você fica chupando o dedo
Seu josé me contou um segredo
E eu gravei no celular
Como eu não sabia que era pra guardar
Eu resolvi espalhar
Seu josé me contou um segredo
E eu gravei no celular
Como eu não sabia que era pra guardar
Eu resolvi espalhar
Eu resolvi espalhar

José told me a secret
And I recorded it on my cell phone
Since I didn't know it was to be kept
I decided to spread it
José told me a secret
And I recorded it on my cell phone
Since I didn't know it was to be kept
I decided to spread it
A small group of friends
Asked me for a sum of money (did you share a sum of money?)
Each one got their share
And there was nothing left for the people
On election day
Don't forget this secret
They keep the monthly payment
And you're left sucking your thumb
José told me a secret
And I recorded it on my cell phone
Since I didn't know it was to be kept
I decided to spread it
José told me a secret
And I recorded it on my cell phone
Since I didn't know it was to be kept
I decided to spread it
A small group of friends
Asked me for a sum of money (did you share a sum of money?)
(the jackpot?)
Each one received their share
And there was nothing left for the people
On election day
Don't forget this secret
They keep the monthly payment
And you're left sucking your thumb
José told me a secret
And I recorded it on my cell phone
Since I didn't know I was supposed to keep it
I decided to spread it
José told me a secret
And I recorded it on my cell phone
Since I didn't know I was supposed to keep it
I decided to spread it
I decided to spread it
