"Run High", also known as "Run Up High" or "Running High", is an unidentified electro song. It was posted by user pilo on to WatZatSong on December 22, 2023. Pilo stated that they think it was from 2004. Pilo stated that it came from a Mexican PPV channel he had, ranging from 2002 to 2006. [1]
Search History
On December 22nd, 2023, user pilo uploaded the available snippet onto WatZatSong. Due to WatZatSong's sample duration limit, only thirty seconds of the full snippet was available. On that same day, he had posted a longer sample of 1:01 second snippet onto Vocaroo, stating that that’s all he had.
On May 12th, 2024, pilo would post yet another Vocaroo sample of the song, which had extended the 1:01 sample to around 1:10 seconds, which added just 9 more seconds to the run time of the song so far.
On July 14th, 2024, at around 23:52, a user named "SURFER123" would comment on the sample:
"ive done some searching on this song, and im pretty sure its not from america,where did you get this audio??".
pilo would respond to the comment:
"i recorded on an audio channel on sky where they played unnamed music I think the channel was 740 Dance"
On September 7th, 2024, pilo uploaded via Vocaroo a new longer sample of 2:25 seconds, extending the timelength of the song by 1:15 seconds. Due to him posting this during the time when the search begun to dry out, many users had begun to believe that pilo was a hoaxer. The reason was that he was stating that the original sample was everything he had. A similar situation that had occured with the song, Drive Me, where pilo had uploaded three samples. Ziro would reupload the song on the same day, along with leaving this comment in the reply section of her video:
"They said that the 1 minute snippet was all they had but now they posted a longer sample the moment the search dries up? They did the same thing with Stop Making Me Cry too btw There is also another WZS account called pastelmoon that does nothing but solve pilo samples & was created the month they solve their first pilo sample. Because of all of this, I'm pretty sure pilo is a hoaxer, but the song is real. It's similar to Kerlo or Pace. Keep searching, but have caution with the sus OP."
pilo would comment on his sample, saying:
"If you don't believe me, that's fine, maybe there will be someone who knows this track and shares the name like the others one day, so I'm not here to argue or get you to believe me, sorry."
When a user named "Murphycc27" would comment:
"i'm sorry pilo :( its just the strange way you said "thats all i have" for the 1:11 run high clip and them came with a 2 minute version? i'm just confused is all"
pilo had responded to the comment by saying:
"It is because I recorded some tracks on different cassettes and in some it was possible to record 2 minutes and in another cassette 1 minute or less because I did not know when they were going to play the same song I did not know the programming on that audio channel"
