"Rise & Fall [Giuseppe D.'s Drum Mix]" (formerly known as "Run High", "Running Up High" or "Running High") is a formerly unidentified electro house song by New York based musician J, released as a single with multiple remixes in 2004.
Search History
On December 22nd, 2023, WatZatSong user pilo uploaded the available snippet onto the website. Due to WatZatSong's sample duration limit, only thirty seconds of the full snippet was available. [2]On that same day, he posted a longer sample of 1:01 second snippet onto Vocaroo, stating that was all he had. [3]
On May 8th, 2024, lostwave uploader "Ziro" reuploaded the sample onto her YouTube channel, Pilo posted another Vocaroo sample on May 12th, 2024. It extended the 1:01 sample to around 1:10 seconds, adding just 9 more seconds to the run time of the snippet. [4]
On September 7th, 2024, pilo posted another longer sample of 2:26 onto Vocaroo, which extended the song's time length by around 1:15 minutes, which contained more of the beginning. [5]
After this, some began to suspect pilo of possibly hoaxing their songs, as they had posted the even longer snippet when the song's search had begun to dry out and the fact that he said that the previous sample was all that they originally had. The song's case has a similar situation which occured with one of pilo's other samples, where they uploaded three different samples of the song at different points. Ziro uploaded the longer version onto her channel later on, along with assuming that pilo could be hoaxing their songs and to have caution with them. [6]
On March 1st, 2025, user technooiD posted a 23 second snippet of a different part of the song that wasn’t in the original snippet, and implied the song’s title was in the lyrics. [7]
Three hours later, the song was identified by Discord user Antwan965 as Rise & Fall by J. [8]They solved it after putting the snippet TechnooiD posted into Audiotag.
Old leads and theories
On July 14th, 2024, c. 23:52, user SURFER123 claimed that they were sure that the song wasn't from the USA, to which pilo replied that they recorded the song from an audio channel on Sky and they think that the channel was 740 Dance. [9] This would be proven false after the identification of the song, after it was proven that the artist (J.) was from New York, USA.
Presumed lyrics
NOTE: Most of the lyrics is interpreted from the acapella version of the song.
[Intro]
(hold on baby, ok you ready?)
(ah let’s go, let’s go)
(ah let’s go, let’s go)
[Verse 1]
Let me take control
Let me ease your soul
Let me fly you to a heaven filled with sin, yeah
Let me lick your lips
Use my fingertips
Let me love you, like you never ever been
[Pre-chorus 1]
Then you'll feel life flying
With me deep inside you
[Chorus]
All you have to do is close your eyes and… breathe (ok, now)
(Rise)
Feel it take you
(Rise)
Take you far away
And I will catch you when you fall
(Rise)
Feel it take you
(Rise)
Take you far away
And I will catch you when you fall
(Rise)
(Fall)
[Verse 2]
As your body shakes
As your heartbeat quakes
As your throat is dry and thirsty for some more
Let your dreams be real
Use me as you will
You have wanted this
But dared not ask before
[Pre-chorus 2]
Then you’ll feel converted
To your own perversion
[Chorus]
All you have to do is close your eyes and… breathe (ok let’s go)
(Rise)
Feel it take you
(Rise high!)
Take you far away
And I will catch you when you fall
(Rise)
(Don’t cum yet)
(Fall)
[Bridge]
Flow with me
‘Til you’re weak
Use your mouth
Spread your cheeks
Let me in, let me in
Siiiiide
Let me take control
Let me ease your soul
Let me fly you to a heaven filled with sin
(I’m almost there, let’s go)
[Chorus]
(Rise)
Feel it take you
(Rise)
Take you far away
And I will catch you when you fall
(Rise)
Feel it take you
(Rise)
Take you far away
And I will catch you when you fall
(Rise)
(Oh my god)
