René M. is a German music collector and seller, as well as a member of the lostwave community. He is the owner of DeDiniDevil and has a YouTube channel called MellieTerry. He also has eBay and Discogs stores.
René is most notable for being the original poster of Poor Christmas and On The Roof, the formerly unidentified song by Johan Lindell. He recorded a clip of the end of the song off of NDR 1 on a show called Pop Fit in 1985 and posted it to DeDiniDevil in 2001.
He is often confused with René R., another member of the lostwave community who originally posted Poor Christmas and Eastern Wind to YouTube.
DeDiniDevil[]
DeDiniDevil is a website created by René M. It is his home page for his eBay and Discogs stores, YouTube Channel, as well as his popular Most Wanted page which contains a list of mysterious songs that he and his peers have been trying to identify. The page also contains lists of former mysterious songs that were solved through DeDiniDevil, including his former number one most wanted, On The Roof by Johan Lindell.
History[]
The original 'Most Wanted' page was probably created around 2002 on René's old site (people.freenet.de/DeDiniDevil) which is not archived. The first time the site was archived under the current link (www.dedinidevil.de/wanted.htm) is from 2010. The newest update of the site was from June 2005 and the site remained unchanged for over 15 years.
In November 2020 the site was updated for the first time in 15 years[1]. René added new info to the unsolved songs and moved the solved songs to a correct section. Only 6 songs remained unidentified. On November 4th it was updated again when it turned out that one song was already solved. This is the last known time the site was updated.
