Search History[]
The song was leaked onto utopiaparkwaymusic.com on February 15th, 2015, along with other demos by the same artist, Bells, The Piano, I’ll Grow Old With You, Better Off Without You and The Grand Parade.
On March 25th, 2023, user Q uploaded the song, along with the other songs. Almost immediately after, the YouTube copyright system identified it as Remember You by Ben Boquist and Brian Graden. Q checked and confirmed it was the same song. She also identified Bells as being by the same artists.
Both songs were officially released in 2021, and the versions leaked on utopiaparkwaymusic were demo versions. None of the other leaked songs were officially released, so there wasn’t any way to fully confirm they were also by Ben and Brian until later.
Lyrics[]
You went your way, I went mine
I can't complain, I've been happy
Anyway you look amazing
And you say that things are fine
You have your job and your family
You wouldn't alter a damn thing
Things are much the same with me
There's nothing that I regret
We chased out the plans we made
And took all that we could get
But I always remember you
Yes, I'll always remember you
Yes, I'll always remember you
Yes, I'll always remember you
You were the only one too perfect to forget
I still smile when I think of you
And I haven't forgotten you yet
My mind blanks on what went wrong
Details that seemed so important
Scattered like sand through my fingers
Link some old forgotten song
I don't remember the verses
Only the melody lingers
And that tune reminds me of
The joy of your company
I guess it doesn't matter now
But just hypothetically
Do you ever remember me
Do you ever remember me
Do you ever remember me
Do you ever remember me
Or was I a season that has long since shuffled by
Do you smile when you think of me
Or did you let the memory die
Your voice, your eyes
Your laugh, your size
Why did you have to bring them back again
Your smile, your voice
I have no choice
It's way too late but I remember when
We were young, unattached and free
And I'll always remember you
Will you sometimes remember me
