On August 11th, 2011, YouTube user De La Vega Production uploaded a mix containing various uncredited songs (including this one, which plays at around the 5:06 minute mark). Although users commented on the video to find the titles to the songs in the mix, no one responded to them.
On March 7th, 2025, due to none of the songs having a proper attribute, user TacSea/AzureBlast posted this song onto the WatZatSong. Due to WatZatSong's 30-second copyright rule, they provided a Vocaroo link to the full recording, along with their takes on the possible lyrics of the song.
The OP was asked about the song, and they said they didn't remember who made it, but it was titled "Right Now". It later turned out that they gave multiple wrong titles.
Over time, the song was reuploaded to YouTube by several users, such as Murphy, Q, LostwaveFinder, and multiple others, amassing over 3k views.
On July 3rd, 2025, Discord users Nel and Cesar (gymforma) identified the song as Red Light by Maria, after Nel ran Werzatsong through Cesar’s personal collection.
Lyrics[]
[Chorus]
Red light, red light, I saw your red light
Red light, red light, I can't get closer now
Red light, red light, I saw your red light
Red light, red light, I can't get through to you
[Verse 1]
You'll be a victim tomorrow
I'll be the talk of the town
You'll be the windchimes of passion
I'm still watching the tide
Your mind is scanning the darkness
I'm just a footstep away
My arms embracing your shadows
Red lights are warning me
[Chorus]
Red light, red light, I saw your red light
Red light, red light, I can't get closer now
Red light, red light, I saw your red light
Red light, red light, I can't get through to you
[Verse 2]
You'll be a stranger tomorrow
I'll be the ghost of the town
Swim in the ocean of sorrow
I bathe in the slow flowing streams
Your voice is breaking the silence
No echoes reaching my way
Chimes will still sound tomorrow
Red lights are warning me
[Chorus]
Red light, red light, I saw your red light
Red light, red light, I can't get closer now (I saw your red light)
Red light, red light, I saw your red light (I saw your red light)
Red light, red light, I can't get through to you
Red light, red light, I saw your red light (Get closer, can't get closer to you)
Red light, red light, I can't get closer now
Red light, red light, I saw your red light (I'm talking about red light, I'm talking about red light)
Red light, red light, I can't get through to you (I'm talking about red light, yeah-yeah)
