"Die Post im Walde" (English: "The Post in the Forest"), also known as "Post" and "We Don't Want To Fight", is an unidentified gramophone trumpet song from Germany before 1889 (which date is inaccurate in precise), making it a contender for one of the oldest lostwave tracks. Recently the performer is believed to be Alle Copir-Rechie, whose name was labelled on the gramophone record where it was recorded. It is believed to come from the same recording as A Little Ship Was On The Sea and Old King Cole but it's not likely as the recording sounds pretty younger than the two. It's a cover of the traditional song "Die Post im Walde" written by Heinrich Schäffer.[1] Due to how low quality and how old the song is, the song will most likely never be identified.
