pilo, In response to theories of him being a hoaxer
pilo is a WatZatSong user and OP of numerous unidentified dance or trance songs, mostly being from the 90s and 2000s.
History
December 2023: Pilo joins WatZatSong.
In December 2023, pilo's WatZatSong account would be registered and he'd start to upload numerous samples between December 17th and 23rd. During that timeframe, only two out of seventeen songs, were identified. That being "U Got To Hurry Girl (Discoroid Remix)" by Funky 3 and "All I Want (Is This)" by Bit-R-Sweet (ft. Gillian).
On December 18th, pilo would upload two of his well-known WZS samples, both gathering attention from the lostwave community, nicknamed "Boogeyman" and "Stop Making Me Cry". He didn't provide much info about the two, other than he had recorded them, somewhere from late 90s or the early 2000s.
Febraury - Mid-July 2024: New Songs and different OP found for "Lifetime".
On February 9th, 2024, pilo would upload a new sample, that being "Might Be You" adding to his collection of unknown songs onto his WatZatSong Page.
During May of 2024, a small portion of unknown songs would be identified as "Vous Qui Aimez Bien Danser (Fuzzy Disco Club Mix)" by Your Funky DJ (ft. An English Girl In Paris) & "Without You (Original Mix)" by Solaris. It was also the month that "Stop Making Me Cry" and "Boogeyman" were solved as: "Drive Me" by K-Girls and "Bougez (Euroclub Mix 2)" by Bla Bla Posse.
On July 16th, 2024, it was discovered that Pilo's recently identified song, "Feels Like A Lifetime" by Reflective, had an different OP before him, that being a Youtube-Bot called "vickie taylor". The channel was active in August to October 2018, and in that channel it primarely features reuploaded videos from various english and russian-speaking family channels with unreleased material made by VHF Productions being usually attached at the end of the video. This making it very likely that the version Pilo uploaded was a mixed version of the officially released song.
On July 19th, 2024, pilo would upload yet another new sample, that being "Recuerdos-Souvenirs" and only a day it would be identified as "Recuerdos" by Iván.
Late July - September 2024: Pastelmoon and suspicion of Pilo being a Hoaxer.
On July 27th and August 6th, 2024, a WZS user by the name of pastelmoon would identify the songs "I Will Be There/Night Jungle" and "Hold Your Love" as: "I Will Be There (Songs Of Praise Remix)" by Absolutely (ft. Natalie Robb) and "4 Your Love" by Hamish. They were also the one to solve "Might Be You". A growing suspicion began to emegre among users, partially due to the fact that pastelmoon had only solved Pilo's song, leading some to believe even be his alt account and ultimately a hoaxer.
On September 7th, 2024, pilo uploaded a new 2 minute and 25 second snippet of "Run High" onto Vocaroo, while the search for the song began drying out. At this point, the suspicion of him being a hoaxer was beginning to seem more likely and largely due to the fact, that he himself stated, all he has were snippets of the song and nothing else. This situation also happened with "Drive Me", where he brought up three more snippets.
A Day later, pilo responded to the situation saying:

October 2024 - December 2024: New Song & Pace solving "Zipitypapa"
On October 21st, 2024, pilo would notice that one of his closed samples had been wrongly identified as "Can't Stop (DMR Zone Mix)" by Plez and requested for it to be reopened.
On October 26th, 2024, pilo would upload yet another new sample, nicknamed in the lostwave community as "Groovy Disco Instrumental".
On November 11th, 2024, his wrongly identified sample would be rightfully identified as "Why Can't It Stop" by Moby (Lopez).
On December 31st, 2024, WZS user Pace, who's known for the hoaxing the song "Free For All", would seemingly out of nowhere identify "Zipitypapa" as "Saxy Jam (Original Mix)" by Internet, responding with a simple but yet snarky reply:
"Too easy."
Suddenly the WZS thread escalated into a heated discourse between the users and Pace, only for the mods to sweep in and remove every single negative comment sent in that thread, thus calming it down. Zipitypapa technically also counts as the last identified song in 2024.
January 2025 - Present Day: Fully Identified.
On January 4th, 2025, pilo would upload two new songs, nicknamed "The Sounds Of The Times" and "Synth Lasers". Both songs being from a cassette from 2003-2004, which was likely when the songs were released.
On February 10th, 2025, one of his newer samples, "Groovy Disco Instrumental" was identified by YouTube user "technooid" as "Freshly Squeezed [Original Mix]" by Stef but unfortunately, the song was incomplete and a full version didn't exist online. Roughly two days later, Lostwave's Finest user "Daseway" had managed to find the full version of the song.
On March 1st, 2025, technooid would upload a 23-second snippet of pilo's "Run High" onto their YouTube channel, which was notably more higher quality than the one pilo had. They gatekept the song, stating that if the songs they've posted got identified, he'll identify the song. But just 7 minutes later, the song was identified by Discord user "antwan965" as "Rise & Fall" by J.
On May 3rd, 2025, pilo would upload a new song onto their WZS account, being an unknown remix of Chris Brown's Look At Me Now. Just a day later, the song was solved to be a "Rawr! Mix" of the song by Chris Brown, along with "Synth Lasers" being solved by Pace as "Galaxia [Qattara Mix]" by Moonman. Another day later, the last of his unknown songs, which was "The Sounds Of The Times" was quickly identified as "Todos Los Chicos Son Igual [Remix]" by Spanish artist Rebeca by Pace yet again. Which left his account fully solved and complete.
On May 10th, 2025, he posted one more sample, he said it was the final song he had. This song has been nicknamed “Crazy For You”.
