Pete Sings (AKA Came Here Like A Car Crash) is an acapella song supposedly made by someone named "Pete". The song was recorded on a home-used cassette tape on October 9th, 1995.

Search History[]

Nothing is discovered as of 2025 except the voice of "Pete" sounds like a teenager black male person singing. [1] Considering the fact that the style is somewhat irregular and unsteady, It is likely sung as some kind of prose poem.

It was originally discovered by Lostwave's Unfinest on Tape Findings, a website for collecting outsider cassettes.

The song was attached to the website alongside the other one entitled "Buy vs. Sell", which features the noises from crowding (supposedly during an auction) and him talking, played after the acapella session.

Disclaimer by Lostwave's Unfinest[]

Note: Due to the nature of the text, some parts have been omitted and particularly important parts have been highlighted.

With songs like this and Curly Toes that are clearly more personal stuff, do not take these as songs to be searched for. If someone speaks up and says its them that's cool, or if you can do a bit of digging without breaking privacy that's dope.

But this upload is not intended to start a search or much, the song doesn't have an upload to my knowledge on YouTube or anything but the original site. I'm also gonna avoid some other songs by TapeFindings.

Do not pester RJ Porters. And don't be too disrespectful towards the singer.

Presumed Lyrics[]

[Starting with some clanging noises]

Hello? Hello? Hello?

You find chances (?) and [in/or] a million [?????]
Your life there to opinion about the way out
And I'm to be, and the way everything here's
[Gibberish]
Never never goin' to let you go,
Never never goin' to let you go other than the way
You make me feel

[Clanging noises]

I'll be da queen and let the world be mine
Though I'll give it all to you, ooh

Never never goin' to let you go,
Never never goin' to let you go other than the way
You make me feel

I've never expected this, you know
You came here like a car crash and killed me with that pretty blonde hair
Came here like a car crash and killed me with that blue eyed stare
Came here like a car crash and killed me with that yellow t-shirt wearing
Came here like a car crash and killed me-ee

  1. According to the description from Tape Findings, an individual, supposedly named "Pete" had started working the stock exchange but his actual dream is to be a rockstar. Whether this is true or not, we do not have any manner to contact “Pete” at this time.
