The song was posted to WatZatSong on March 30th, 2021 by user CentralMuzik. They didn’t provide any information about where the song came from, nor a longer snippet, but they said it was recorded in the 1990s. There weren’t any lyrics in the snippet, so it gained the placeholder name Paranoid Brown.
On April 17th, 2023, popular lostwave uploader Q reuploaded the song onto her YouTube channel, giving the song more attention. The placeholder name was given due to it sounding like a brown note, a debunked urban legend involving a musical note that makes people shit themselves.
On October 15th, 2023, the OP came back and posted the full song to Vocaroo. It was recorded off of Radio 666 in Caen, France. The song was most likely released between 1993-1995 based on the release dates of the majority of the other songs on the tape. The tape also included My Own World and My Embrace.
Presumed lyrics[]
[Verse 1]
Here I come to find you
Assault is lookin’ fine
Sounds like anything’s fine
[Verse 2]
Safety’s coming first
The sound from up to my head
Anything you like, a sin
[Chorus]
I never should've started what I couldn't finish
Now I have the power, all the pressure has diminished
Probably got to scour
Always every hour
I won't be near
[Verse 3]
Close is close enough
I will take what comfort I can get
Anytime but not against
[Verse 4]
My exit closed too much
Yeah, with a little bit of luck
Only want what's left remainin’
[Chorus]
I never should’ve started what I couldn't finish
Now I have the power, all the pressure has diminished
Probably got to scour
Always every hour
I won't be near
[Verse 5]
If it's only done till summer
Go ahead and kill your mother
Lies, I’m a fool for them
[Outro]
Yeah
