Lyrics[]
Saw you on the hit parade, guess you thought you had it made,
when I saw the gleam in your Paradise Eyes.
You live in a fantasy. Think the world is at your feet.
Can’t you see the fool with the Paradise Eyes?
You keep saying that you’re just playing the games that all people play.
But when they take you and you can’t fake it …Don’t come crying to me!
You’re the one who loves the girls, chasing them around the world.
Everything is cool in your Paradise Eyes.
Hold them in your arms awhile, flash that golden smile.
Spells are cast with those Paradise Eyes.
You’ve got something that keeps them jumping. Everybody agrees.
But when it’s over and you need a lover …Don’t come crying to me!
(sawtooth synth solo)
Bond and Casanova, too, haven’t got a thing on you
‘cause you’ve got that look in your Paradise Eyes.
Waiting for your rendezvous, break a heart in two.
Never see a tear in your Paradise Eyes.
You’re no stranger when there is danger, it’s the game that you play.
But when they take you and you can’t make it… Don’t come crying to me!
Unsuspecting women stare, hoping you will somehow care.
Tell me what they see in your Paradise Eyes.
Something told me not to chance your inviting glance.
Resist the charm of your Paradise Eyes.
You keep saying that you’re just playing the games that all people play.
But when they fake you and you can’t take it …Don’t come crying to me!
In your Paradise Eyes, your Paradise Eyes, your Paradise Eyes! Don’t come crying to me!
