Lyrics[]
[Verse 1]
It's really hard to say in these earliest of stages
Now the things and their places are trading faces
There's something hidden in the background of this photograph
[Refrain]
Hear my heart getting soft
Hear my heart getting soft
[Verse 2]
I feel a bit moody and kind of, kind of bored
Take a walk in these shoes, take a walk in my shoes
My shit, their shit, it's all the same shit
It's better going nowhere quick than nowhere slow
[Refrain]
Hear my heart getting soft
Hear my heart getting soft
[Verse 3]
I want a horse that ribbits and a frog that neighs
Oink oink oink oink
You'd rather beg than choose, you'd rather beg than choose
Neither myth nor magic are gonna cure these wounds
We're all watching the same program, and the show must go on
[Refrain]
Hear my heart getting soft
Hear my heart getting soft
[Verse 1]
It's really hard to say in these earliest of stages
Now the things and their places are trading faces
There's something hidden in the background of this photograph
[Refrain]
Hear my heart getting soft
Hear my heart getting soft
(Soft)
