2022-2024: The original upload[]
On December 1st, 2022, the Youtube user "Outros Pedaços de TV" uploaded a video called "Os Pepinos da Vovó Nasceram Mortos", not giving much information about it, just that it was a demo tape from an unidentified band.[1]
On the cassette tape on which the song was originally on, the possible name of the band behind the song was written, "Céso" (or Césio), despite this, no band with that name was found. The song did not gain much attention until mid-2024.
2024-Present[]
On June 22nd, 2024, a well-known user in the Lostwave community in Brazil, "SkinWalker", reposted the song on his channel, bringing more attention to it.[2]
Just a few days later, on June 28th, 2024, a channel was created on LostwaveBrazil's Discord server, quickly standing out due to the scarce information available regarding the song.
On January 7th, 2025, the song was discovered to likely be by a band called Césio-137. But there wasn’t any confirmation. The song’s singer and style sound similar, and the original tape was labeled as Ceso/Césio.
On the next day, one of the band members confirmed the song was made by them. Césio-137 changed their name to Bojo 77.
Previous leads[]
OP said that the cassette came along with a used boombox that he bought with a person in the city of Americana in the state of São Paulo, meaning that the song has it's possible origins from that city.
