On September 30th, 2022, user human672672 posted the song to WatZatSong. Not much information was given other than the only thing the description of the post said was "from radio".
A day later, another user named movieman asked for a "longer sample?". human672672 replied to the comment and attached a Vocaroo sample, which was around 2:40 seconds in length. The OP stopped replying much to the questions that various users had.

Sometime around 2024, possibility of the OP being a hoaxer was brought up due to most of their songs being included in radio broadcasts that were posted to MixCloud, including this one.
On February 21st, 2025, the OP was fully confirmed to be a hoaxer after a MixCloud broadcast including their formerly unidentified song Running Out Of Time was found.
Lyrics[]
[Verse 1]
A need to switch, I took a stand
At that witch in that can
It's a sweet puppy, smart cookie
Slippy-uppy, oh cutie
[Verse 2]
A chewed tab, some chewed gum
I've been hit by a whole new love
I woke up in a bad mood
And no love, baby, how rude of them!
[Chorus]
You ran, you ran, you ran, you ran, you ran, you
You ran, you ran, you ran, you ran, you ran
You ran, you ran, you ran, you ran, you ran, you
You ran, you ran, you ran, you ran, you ran
[Verse 3]
I can't win in this barging bin
And you must be joking
It's my last call for alcohol
There's paper dolls in the hall
[Verse 4]
Try to stop, it's hot
I've got a slingshot
Feet back, no beat
Stay mad, no heat, hey!
[Chorus]
You ran, you ran, you ran, you ran, you ran, you
You ran, you ran, you ran, you ran, you ran
You ran, you ran, you ran, you ran, you ran, you
You ran, you ran, you ran, you ran, you ran
You ran, you ran, you ran, you ran, you ran, you
You ran, you ran, you ran, you ran, you ran
You ran, you ran, you ran, you ran, you ran, you
You ran, you ran, you ran, you ran, you ran
[Guitar solo]
ISM[]
ISM is a punk and harcore band from Queens, New York (USA). They formed in 1980.
The band consists of: Dave Miranda (drums), Josef Ismach (vocals, keyboards), Mark Reres (guitar, backup vocals) and Steve Scianablo (bass). They're often compared to other punk bands that were around at the time such as Butthole Surfers and Television.
They released their first single Attack (For Beginners Only) in 1980 to modest sucess.
In 1983, the band released their first album A Diet For The Worms. The album received nationwide airplay, and ISM gained notoriety on college and alternative commercial radio.
Still in 1983, the band released their biggest hit so far: a cover of I Think I Love You by The Partridge Family.
In 1984, the band released an EP called Constantinople, which features a cover of Constantinople by The Residents.
In 1987, the band released the single Nightmare At Noon (this song), along with two other songs:
- Meat In My New Car
- Deadline At Dawn
They took a hiatus for a few years and came back in 1996 with the album Journey Down Your Drain.
The band is still active today. One of their singles reached #6 in the country on CMJ's New Music composite, and their A Diet For The Worms album reached #65 on Progressive Radio's Top 100 Charts.
Just like Wavestation is named after Korg Wavestation, ISM is named after a radio frequency (Industrial, Scientific, and Medical).
