New Neurosis (also known as Padded Cell) is an unidentified leftfield new wave song. It was tagged as New Numerales - The Young Executives.

The song was posted to WatZatSong on October 5th, 2021, by user SailorFreak. They said it came from a 1980 cassette tape recording. But they didn’t provide any additional information about the song, nor a longer snippet.
Over time, the song was reuploaded to YouTube by several users, such as Michalloss Plotagon, Zumi, JayKay, Q, S2h, Ofrix, AlianTheObscure, and multiple others, amassing over 15k views.
On September 10th, 2022, Sailorfreak came back and posted the full song to Vocaroo[1]. A day later, they said it was recorded off of Californian radio station KROQ-FM, and the band might’ve been a local band from L.A. or Orange County.[2]
On October 16th, 2022, Sailorfreak linked the full radio broadcast, which was posted to MixCloud in 2021 by user Retro Radio Joe. The specific date that the broadcast was from was on May 31st, 1980. The radio DJ, Rodney Bin Genheimer, announced the song as:
“Something brand new by a group called New Numerales, doing The Young Executives.”
The song title and band name were most likely swapped, Rodney probably meant to say neurosis instead of "Numerales", and it’s possibly even an accidental mis-credit as he credited Screamers - Peer Pressure as Pressure Point. The real name might be similar though.[3]
There are multiple bands with the name “The Young Executives”, there were a few bands from around the same time frame, one of them even had airplay on the same station, but they’ve been ruled out, along with multiple other bands.
