My Uncle Pete is an unidentified electronic spoken word song.

Search History[]

On June 10th, 2023, user Kenny Cathead posted a one hour and 25 minute video titled “Unknown” to YouTube. It featured many snippets recorded off of the radio in the 1980s. The song played 34 minutes and three seconds into the video.

Kenny reposted the song via his WatZatSong account NY80sTapes on July 9th, 2023. The song was recorded off of a radio station in New York or New Jersey around 1984.

On August 27th, 2023, it was revealed that the voice that's being spoken over the song is a part of the song and not the radio DJ speaking, being confirmed by Kenny.

On November 24th, 2023, on the FMM Discord thread for the songs he posted, Kenny said that he wasn’t the person who recorded the tapes, but instead a friend who was trying to make a sound collage, but he recorded a few things.[1]

It was reuploaded on YouTube by Lostwave's Unfinest on August 11, 2024 and Q on January 16th, 2025.

Lyrics[]

The Raymond twins, across the street from us, call themselves "strippers,"
but only appear at neighborhood benefits and then are always too embarrassed to finish what they started out to do.
My uncle Pete was always trying to get his new wife to try on different styles of eyeglasses.
