Lyrics[]

[Verse 1]
Woke up this morning, the sun refused to shine
I looked everywhere, tryin' to find that girl of mine
I just found this ice cold pilow, layin' by my side

[Chorus]
The moon is down
But it still ain't dawn
And the world is dark
And my baby's gone

[Verse 2]
Looked out the window, I could hardly keep from cryin'
My baby left me, never even said goodbye
Even took that golden sunlight from the sky

[Chorus]
The moon is down
But it still ain't dawn
And the world is dark
And my baby's gone

[Bridge]
I sit and wonder why she left me
I try to think what I've done wrong
Set in the darkness of my lonely room

[Chorus]
The moon is down
But it still ain't dawn
And the world is dark
And my baby's gone
