"Mr. Moon" is an unidentified country song discovered on an untitled demo tape from Marietta, Georgia, alongside other unknown songs. The video that plays the song has been viewed over 2, 000.

History[]

December 4th, 2021, it was originally uploaded on YouTube by user Beetlemuse as a song included in the video that played a mysterious demo tape by various unknown artists. There were no artist name and the recording date listed on the label. Later then, the single audio of the song was ripped from the video and reuploaded on YouTube on May 27th, 2024.

As the OP claimed in a reply to user Diego S. Loayza's question where they found the tape at:

"Flea Market in Marietta, GA, by the BIG Chicken 🐔"

Not much is available about the song except that the song was likely "untitled".

Theories[]

The cassette tape is "TDK SA 90", manufactured by TDK, which first appreared around 1974; thus the song could've been recorded between 1974 and the 1990s.

Lyrics[]

NOTE: The lyrics were pulled from a comment posted by YouTube user TJ Platina.

Mr. Moon, are you with me tonight?
I'm so blue, I need higher advice
Is there somebody else who is lonely tonight
I'm calling on you, tell me who

Mr. moon, you see all from above;
Is there someone out there looking for love?
Set a course in the sky; send her walking on by
Give it one more good try for me

If the stars are so bright, they would shine me a light
And show me just exactly what to do
If the heavens above knew so much about love
Then why do lovers always look to you?

And I do, I believe you can help
Share my secret with somebody else
Take the words from my lips, whisper soft in her ear
Then lead her to me, Mr. Moon
