"Memorex Birthday Rap" (or just "Birthday Rap") is an unidentified Rap song about birthday of named "Joan"/"John" that sounds like a live recording. The song was recorded on a Memorex tape in the early 1990s, alongside two other sing-along covers of Sinéad O'Connor - The Last Day of Our Acquaintance (1990) & Tori Amos - Silent All These Years (1992).
Search History[]
On January 17th, 2006, the tape was posted onto the Tape Findings website. The tape had two ther songs that were sing-along covers of the songs provided in the text above. This song was labelled as "Birthday Rap" but when you download the audio, its labelled as "Memorex Birthday Rap". The song was found on a cassette tape by RJ Porters and either a thrift shop, junk store or something alike. He labelled it "Memorex Singing Jams".
On August 13th, 2024, the original Lostwave's Unfinest uploaded the song onto the channel. Dylan (owner of the old channel) intended not to start a search from the upload as he wants the artists to have more privacy as users might be able to find information from them and possibly ruin their privacy.
The song was later re-uploaded by the new Lostwave's Unfinest on August 8th, 2025, along with The Fake Slim Shady and Bi Bi Bi.

With songs like this and Curly Toes that are clearly more personal stuff, do not take these as songs to be searched for. If someone speaks up and says its them that's cool, or if you can do a bit of digging without breaking privacy that's dope. But this upload is not intended to start a search or much, the song doesn't have an upload to my knowledge on YouTube or anything but the original site.
I'm also gonna avoid some other songs by TapeFindings since they do feature very young children (granted most are from the 90s and earlier so adults now but you get the point) or are not even songs. This one is probably by a teenager, considering it's placement, so do consider that.
