The song was posted to WatZatSong on November 13th, 2023, by user ABonita. The post's description read:
"This aired on WSRB/Chicago on [February 7th, 2015]. I was working for Media Monitors/Mediabase at the time, and no one on staff was ever able to identify it."
When asked if they had a longer snippet, the OP said they didn't. But when user MistaEgg told them how WZS cropped samples, they posted the nearly full song to Buzznetmedia under the placeholder name "Make My Day".
Six days later, a now-deleted user asked the OP why the snippet was low quality. They responded and said it was because they converted the recording to eight-bit mono to save space on their device.
Over time, the song was reuploaded to YouTube by several users, such as unknownarcdotwaV, UZ, LostwaveFinder, S2h, Rocketballboi, AlianTheObscure, and multiple others, amassing over 1k views.
