Search History[]

The song was posted to WatZatSong on August 2nd, 2011, by user ProgSymph. The description read:

"Ithink the song title may be "Love me Baby" or something like that. I used to hear a radio station called WFM in Mexico. I recorded the song using a tape recorder and I think it came from that station."

On March 11th, 2023, YouTube user Mike Worst reuploaded the song to his channel under the placeholder name of "Love Me Baby". Only a day later, Discord user Nonoseacrest brought up the possibility of the song being 'Love Me Baby, Love Me Do" by Thanx due to the title matching the lyrics.[1]

On May 24th, 2023, user ruslik contacted Discogs user discomuc, who was selling a copy of the vinyl, to ask if it was the same song. They responded and confirmed that it was, but there wasn't any audio as they couldn't digitize it.[2]

On July 31st, 2023, the song was fully identified as "Love Me Baby, Love Me Do" by Thanx after user BlackhawksNBullsNCubsNBears posted a slightly low-quality rip of the full song after the vinyl arrived.[3]

On December 29th, 2023, Blackhawks posted a slightly higher quality rip of the song to YouTube, along with the records B-side, but the upload of that song has since been deleted.[4]

On February 8th, 2024, an even higher quality rip of the song was posted to YouTube by user URS/sunrsets[5], and they posted a direct rip on May 31st, 2024.

Lyrics[]

[Verse 1]
Remember days in '62?
(Love me baby, love me do)
I was young and so were you
(Love me baby, love me do)
They were rocking on
(Rocking and rolling)
Grooving on
(Rocking and rolling)
Feeling free
(Rocking on everyday)

[Verse 2]
We love new and something new
(Love me baby, love me do)
[?] that rank's so true
(Love me baby, love me do)
We were twisting on
(Twisting and shouting)
Shaking on
(Shaking all over)
Hold your hand
(All that I want to do)

[Verse 3]
Things grow old and we do too
(Love me baby, love me do)
All that's there, it's new and through
(Love me baby, love me do)
Now I still can dream
(California dreaming)
Late at night
(San Franciscan Nights)
Slower year
(Flowers in our hand)

[Verse 1]
Remember days in '62?
(Love me baby, love me do)
I was young and so were you
(Love me baby, love me do)
They were rocking on
(Rocking and rolling)
Grooving on
(Rocking and rolling)
Feeling free
(Rocking on everyday)
We were twisting on
(Twisting and shouting)
Shaking on
(Shaking all over)
Hold your hand
(All that I want to do)
