Below is a set of rules to follow when contributing in this wiki. Staff of the Lostwave's Finest Wiki should read these rules and adapt them as necessary.

Current List of Rules
Rules in General
- Do not use any loopholes on any of these rules. Trying to do so will result in a block.
- Do not post/comment cyberbully, harass, or be rude. Try to be respectful, nice, civil and open-minded about discussions.
- Do not spam and troll any posts/comments of any kind. This includes producing false leads.
- Do not post/comment anything inappropriate, sexual, or for soliciting upvotes. (Example: Upvote this post if you hate hoaxes!)
- Do not post/comment anything portraying impersonation of other users or famous people using alternate accounts.
- Avoid posting/commenting about politics and tragic events.
- Posting malicious links aren’t allowed, breaking this rule results in a permanent block, unless it was done by accident and the user was unaware.
- Threatening to raid, or raiding the wiki isn’t allowed, breaking this rule obviously results in permanent block.
- Necroposting (Commenting in old threads that are 1-2 months old) is not allowed, doing so will result in the thread getting locked, any user who necroposts will be warned, after the 3 warnings, the user will get blocked from commenting/replying for 3 days.
- Users are not allowed to post NSFW and NSFL content. Posting NSFW will result in a 10 month ban, and posting NSFL will result in an indefinite ban, whenever the images are censored/cropped or not, unless it’s the album cover of a found lostwave song, that is censored.
- Remember to give specific, or content-related titles to your posts, giving unrelated, or no-context titles (eg. Erm What The Sigma, WHAT?!? HELP ME!, etc) might mislead users.
- Users are not allowed to edit another user’s user page, unless they are administrator/moderator, or are there to fix a link.
- Users are allowed to swear at a certain amount. It isn’t allowed to directly swear at another user, or constantly swearing.
Rules for Editing/Contributing
- Do not attempt to do “edit-grinding”, or “edit-spamming”. This is the act of increasing your edit count.
- Do not use artificial intelligence to write articles.
- Spreading, or adding misinformation on pages is highly prohibited.
- Vandalizing pages isn’t allowed on the wiki. (eg. Blanking the page, and adding nonsense). Attempting to be persistent will result in a harsher block.
- Pages will have to have links (eg. WatZatSong, YouTube) on them or else the article is deleted.
- Adding unnecessary images/links to the associated images/external links section of an article for a song will get the image/link deleted. (eg. Adding images that doesn’t originate from a familiar user in the community, or links that are uploads of the song that doesn’t have 250+ views.)
Rules for Articles
An article about a song can be created, if:
- The song has more than 200 listens in WatZatSong, or 1K views on YouTube, and at least 2 months of not being identified to get an article of its own.
- The song has or had an active fanbase, audience, or one or more search groups within the Lostwave community.
- The song is already familiar or popular within the entire Lostwave community.
- The song has been uploaded or reposted by a user, artist, or person that is familiar within the Lostwave community.
An article about an artist, band, person, or user can be created if:
- The subject is familiar within the entire community.
An article may not be created, if:
- The article has been created for promotion or personal interest.
- The article is of low quality or has almost no effort (eg. Lines such as “No other information is known", "OP didn’t provide any information", "The song sounds like _____", etc).
- The existence of the subject has been recent.
- The subject has an unpopular or no audience.
- The article intends to popularize a troll or hoaxer.
- The subject is off-topic or irrelevant to the Lostwave community.
- The article is a duplicate of another existing one. The article can be redirected by replacing the entire page by replacing the article with #REDIRECT [[Page]] in source editor.
