The song was used in a Call of Duty: Black Ops II edit posted to YouTube on September 16th, 2015 by user frtn. The video was only 15 seconds and no information was provided.
On February 26th, 2021, the song was reposted to the r/Lostwave subreddit by user EliteAgent51, asking who it was made by. They said they had been searching for the song since it was posted.
In the comments, a now-deleted user mentioned that other songs the OP’s videos came from SoundCloud[1], and EliteAgent51 “identified” the song as Lost In A War by Sean Grandos.[2]
But that is unlikely due to the only other songs Sean Ganados have posted being reposts of other songs and him having no other tracks on his account that sound similar to this song.
Over time, the song was reuploaded to YouTube by several users, such as Mike Worst, Zumi, Q, 𝑀𝑟. 𝐶ℎ𝑖𝑝𝑠, Twenty6, LostwaveFinder, and multiple others, amassing over 4k views.
