Lyrics[]
Paisley Pastel walk in middle of the street
In the middle of the night but turns into a green
The intoxicating colors are coming into sigh
The invisible nightmare wrapped and big ol’ eye
The invisible nightmare wrapped and big ol’ eyed, yeah
Psychedelic [sulking] for a flower child at school
Hallucinating on the edge of a one [hit] torch
Illuminating peace and love from a stone grey tune
It awfully seems, haunted black light room
It often seems, haunted black light room
Room has Johnny’s friends on the wall
And the light shines down on the two lovers
And through a broken window
The glass is stained
All becoming shattered
Of all it’s pain
I’ll be the one you talk about but you can’t take home
I’ll be the one you can’t show to your friends
I’m the outsider that doesn’t pass into your cliqué
I’ll be your deal and you know that it won’t end, uh huh
Walking hand in hand with your love of the land
There’s a pistol pointing down at Paisley Pastel’s last stand
From a deal so long ago that Paisley thought he forgot
But the man remembered he’s fired a shot
Yeah the man remembered he’s fired a shot, yeah
Yeah
That there was the story of Paisley Pastel in the black light room
And the blood we smelled
[His links], car systems, and memory changed
One human life we lost but one story that we gained
One human we lost and one story that we gained, yeah
Run around the clock, a circle on the wall that we call time
Run around the clock, a circle on the wall that we call time
Run around the clock, a circle in the wall that we call time
Run around the clock, a circle on the wall that we call time
