Koolmatch Is Bang Bang (formerly known as Love on the Rhythm/Guantanamera) is a formerly unidentified eurodance song made by Swedish musical group Koolmatch on 1999.

Search History[]

On November 24th 2016, the song was posted to Youtube by user Master MC's with the title "Does anyone know the artist or title of this unknown song?". They didn’t provide any information about the song, but given the other songs they posted, they likely got the song from a cassette tape from the 1990s.

On January 12th, 2025, the song was reposted to WatZatSong by user Yakima. They didn’t provide any information, but they most likely got the audio from the original YouTube post due to the identical sound quality.

Only 7 minutes later, the song was identified by user Pace as Koolmatch Is Bang Bang by Koolmatch.

Koolmatch[]

Koolmatch was a house, Eurodance and electronic group from Sweden. They're best known for their song I Like It, I Luv It which was a hit in the late 90s.

The group consisted of: Martina Edoff, Caroline Jensen, Maria Elonsson and Patrick Ntumba (alias: Don Felix).

The group released their first single Everyday Life in 1997 to some success.

But then, in 1997, the group released their biggest (and only) hit I Like It, I Luv It. (Music video)

The song was featured in multiple compilation albums across the world, for example Dive Into The Dance Zone 2, released in 1997 by Universal Music.

The song also appeared in the album Top Hits '97 Volume 5, with multiple other well-known artists such as: Coolio, Sash!, T-Spoon, Age Of Love and Backstreet Boys.

In 1999, they put out their only album titled The Album, which this song was included.

Today, the lead singer Martina Edoff works as a solo artist, she also worked with multiple Swedish bands and artists.
