The song was posted to Youtube on November 24th, 2016, by user Master MC's. They didn’t provide any information about the song, but given the other songs they posted, they likely got it from a cassette tape from the 1990s.
Over time, the song was reuploaded to YouTube by several users, such as Eccote, Revolutionary_War, Q, Lostmediaguy, Bonemach1ne, Ofrix, S2h, AlianTheObscure, SpikeytheCactus, and multiple others, amassing over 20k views.
On January 12th, 2025, the song was reposted to WatZatSong by user Yakima. They didn’t provide any information, but they most likely got the audio from the original upload due to the identical sound quality.
Only seven minutes later, the song was “identified” by user Pace as Koolmatch Is Bang Bang by Koolmatch. He didn’t elaborate on how he solved it.
Unknown date: After Pace joined the Fond My Mind Discord Server, it was revealed that all his solves were not from him, and did not actually solve any of the songs, but instead, bribed various techno/house collectors. User slsk, one of the many people contacted by him, just so happened to know the song. [1]

Koolmatch was a house, Eurodance and electronic group from Sweden. They're best known for their song I Like It, I Luv It which was a hit in the late 90s.
The group consisted of: Martina Edoff, Caroline Jensen, Maria Elonsson and Patrick Ntumba (alias: Don Felix).
The group released their first single Everyday Life in 1997 to some success, with four remixes.

In 1998, for SweMix, they released their third single, I Like It, I Luv It ('98 Remix), with three remixes by Johan Järpsten.
