Jump Back In is an unidentified hip-hop song discovered on a vinyl test pressing listed on eBay. The song samples The Stylistics - People Make The World Go Round and Bobby Womack - Interlude #2 at 94 BPM and is determined to have been recorded from the mid to late 90s. The track features two rappers, presumably named The Drifter and T-Rell General, likely to be a duo.

On April 5th, 2014, user U3 posted the song onto YouTube[1] and their personal blog[2], asking for identification. According to U3, they think the song is possibly from 1995 to 1997, sound-wise. Another less known song "Money Love" was posted along with Jump Back In.[3]
Leads/theories[4]
The location has had many theories, being speculated as Compton or LA from the lyrics, especially from "Los' like Angeles". However, it was very likely recorded in New York City. There are lines such as "East New York, baby", which could be the residential neighborhood. "Garbage out the Conduit", which could be referring to Conduit Boulevard, located in East New York. "Bed-Stuy. Do-or-Die", which is a phrase that means 'make a move or die'. It references the dangerous conditions in Bedford-Stuyvesant. Also being a test pressing from Europadisk, which are also from New York.
Potential artist names are said in the intro: The Drifter and T-Rell General. It is two artists, as heard from the line, "We two guys, put together four eyes."
Some claim the artist's accent sounds Jamaican.
The estimated recording date can be broken down into references to these lyrics:
"I'm going all out like Leon in a professional." This lyric references Léon: The Professional, which was released on November 18th, 1994.
"You joking Jim Carrey [redacted] are getting dumber and dumber." Referring to the comedy film Dumb and Dumber, which came out on December 6th, 1994.
"Starting a revolution, verbal executioner style." Possibly referencing K-Rino's song Verbal Execution, released on December 25, 1995, it states, "K-Rino is the Verbal Executioner."
"99 cent Whoppers for all you Big Mackers." The last time the Burger King Whopper was 99 cents, as mentioned in the song, was in 2000, which likely makes it the latest year it could've been made. There have been occasional promotions after, but it's unlikely that's what the song is referring to.
"Imma buy you packs more than super size fries for you big guys." This is likely referring to McDonald's Supersize option, which lasted from 1988 to 2004.
Presumed lyrics[5]
[Intro]
Drifter
T-Rell General
What's your name?
What she call you? (The Drifter)
What they call you? (T-Rell General)
[Hook]
When you jump back in, I'mma jump back out
And when you jump back out, I'mma jump back in (in)
When you jump back in, I'mma jump back out (out)
And when you jump back out, I'mma jump back in (in)
[Verse 1]
Rhymes is extra strength, like Excedrin, stronger than ten men.
Crooks do jooks before the stickup put the lead in
You're headed down the one way, straight into a dead end
No cap, it is tragic when the tears start shedding
So there's no need to kiss the bride, I'm at your wedding
I stoled your wife cuz you was trife and lost your life
By the red light, front of the gun of the headhunter
You joking Jim Carrey [redacted] are getting dumber and dumber
I'm going all out like Leon in a professional
I be the spectacle, get more foul than the technical
One wreckable packing more gadgets than The Inspector do
When testing these theories, just hear me
You're living like Dennis the Menace
So would you pass me the Guinness when I finish making ten G's
The show will take the dope and then we'll split this
Shopping sprees to buy different flavor Timberland trees
Freebies with tossing out fat bags of weed
[Hook]
When you jump back in, I'mma jump back out
And when you jump back out, I'mma jump back in
When you jump back in, I'mma jump back out
And when you jump back out, I'mma jump back in
[Verse 2]
My style'll get you tipsy like Jack Daniel's, the banned
Will I be the first godfather like Marlon Brando?
Blow you like a candle, I'm scandalous
You can't handle this cause I'm Los' like Angeles
Recollect my many golden opportunities, raw communities
From state to state making currency
A receipt's what I got for you in store
I wear my boots in the summertime like the Outlaw
See I'm quick on the draws with the metaphors, lyrical 4/4's
T-Rell, all hail, the general
And they call me The Drifter
Don't sleep, I might hit yo sister
Say cheese cause I just took yo picture
With hollow points, they'll be wrapped in your back and kiss you goodbye
While ill flow will blow you sky high
No lies son
We only reply to the fat skits
Never kick the half shit
We represent past tense
Rhymes make sense, they never common
Alarming emcees like debris from the World Trade Center bombing (Pshhh)
Starting a revolution, verbal executioner style
Send the crooked judges straight up to be now
[Hook]
When you jump back in, I'mma jump back out
And when you jump back out, I'mma jump back in
When you jump back in, I'mma jump back out
And when you jump back out, I'mma jump back in
[Verse 3]
You see, you know what my [redacted]
That come through with clickers and clackers
And shoot crooked cops and their backers
Lyrical threes on emcees in Shaq Attaqers
99 cent Whoppers for all you Big Mackers
I'mma buy you packs more than super size fries for you big guys
Ripping you right between yo eyes
We two guys, put together four eyes
Sharp Shooting game in yo back to leave your whole frame paralyzed
From the neck down with the verbal four pound
You can never get down with my crew
Fuck you like the town
Treat your peoples like Johnny 5, no disassembling
Fake rappers get the boot like Timber
[Hook]
When you jump back in, I'mma jump back out
And when you jump back out, I'mma jump back in
When you jump back in, I'mma jump back out
And when you jump back out, I'mma jump back in
When you jump back in, I'mma jump back out
And when you jump back out, I'mma jump back in
When you jump back in, I'mma jump back out
And when you jump back out, I'mma jump back in
[Outro]
East New York, baby
Drop that LP, yeah
Bed-Stuy
Conviction
Driving down the Conduit
General, Outlaw

Assume I'm might hit yo shit
I might hit yo sister

[Seeking Info] Mystery Test Pressing
Wow, this week was busy dealing with the effects of the tax hike...
Personally, I didn’t do any bulk buying before the tax increase, but it seems like a lot of people were doing it — it was crazy. My brother who works in delivery was also complaining about how the last-minute rush before the tax hike caused a massive surge in packages; things were out of control for him, haha.
I thought a 3% tax increase wouldn’t be such a big deal, but now that it’s actually happened, I’ve noticed small price increases on various items. Even when shopping at convenience stores, it’s kind of throwing me off.
This time, it's a rather unusual case, but there’s a record I need help identifying, so I decided to write this post to reach out to those who might know something about it.
Artist: Unknown
Title: Unknown
Year:
Label: EUROPADISK

A2 - Unknown (Instrumental)

B2 - Unknown (Instrumental)
It’s a test pressing from EUROPADISK, but I have no idea whose song this is or what it’s called. There was a pressing sheet included, but it was completely blank — talk about useless, right? Haha.
Sound-wise, I think it might be from around 1995-97, but I’m not entirely sure.
Also, I always assumed EUROPADISK was a UK-based pressing company based on the name, but apparently, it’s actually based in New York. I posted something on Facebook saying "it definitely sounds British," and boy, did I embarrass myself, lol.
Come to think of it, some releases from the Libra label, like Controversy , were also pressed by this company as test pressings.
I don’t think this is a case of it being a test pressing only, though I’m not too familiar with these kinds of details, so I can't say for sure.
I assume it’s probably a track that was officially released, and people in the know might recognize it.
If anyone happens to recognize it after listening, please let me know! You can leave a comment or send me a message. Any help would be appreciated!
Both tracks feel so good, don’t they?
I’ll be waiting for more info!
