Jokes (formerly known as "I've Got Something To Say" or just "Something To Say") is a formerly unidentified funk rock song by San Francisco-based band Sinclair, released on the band's self-titled 2004 album. It was performed live at a San Francisco Apple store on September 7th, 2007.
Search History
The song was posted to YouTube on September 19th, 2007, by user Revood. The description read:
"I'm looking for the name of this band. They played on 9/7/2007 in front of the Apple Store at San Francisco...Please leave a comment if you have any idea."
On August 4th, 2025, only two days after user Q reuploaded the song to YouTube, user SMLFunKEN discovered a San Francisco band named Sinclair[1]. The band shared many resemblances to the band in the video. Shown by Discord user slim[2][3], the band had multiple songs played only on the streets and were never released.
The song was considered "verification needed" due to the title being unknown, but shortly after, Discord user swxg found a song from Sinclair titled Jokes. Due to the large resemblance and similarity, the song was considered fully identified as Jokes by Sinclair.
