The song was posted to WatZatSong on February 28th, 2021 by user CentralMuzik. They recorded the song in the 1990s, but they didn’t provide any information about where the song came from, and they didn’t provide a longer snippet either,
On October 14th, 2023, user BloostMedia posted a longer snippet to Vocaroo after CentralMuzik gave it to them. The song was most likely recorded off of a French FM radio station, as that’s where the OP got most of their other songs from.
Not long after, a user discovered the band Kings Of Infinite Space, who sounded similar. The song Very Beau from their 1997 EP Speedboarder was theorized to be the song, but it was debunked.
On November 2nd, 2023, users BloostMedia, Kurty and AbominationAngel identified the song as Jimmy & Jane by Kings Of Infinite Space, the same band which had a song that was previously debunked.
Lyrics[]
[Verse 1]
There's no sanity anymore
'Cause nothing ever turns out how you thought
There's no sentiment I could see
Slip away if it's just happy
[Pre-chorus]
But I ain't ever gonna be what you want
Any summer, if we talk apart
And I could never never never be what I'm not
[Chorus]
So come on, say goodbye
Yes, you do notice why
There's no time to look back at the love we had
Just stop!
[Verse 2]
There's no sanity anymore
'Cause I can't see what's wrong with me anymore
There's no sentiment I could see
Slip away if it's just happy
[Verse 3]
There's no sanity anymore
'Cause nothing ever turns out how you thought
A little kind love, but now I'm bored
Wish that I could make it right before
[Pre-Chorus]
But I ain't ever gonna be what you want
Any summer, if we talk apart
And I could never never never be what I'm not
[Chorus]
So come on, say goodbye
Yes, you do notice why
There's no time to look back at the love we had
Just stop!
Come on, say goodbye
Yes, you do notice why
There's no time to look back at the love we had
Just stop!
[Verse 1]
There's no sanity anymore
'Cause nothing ever turns out how you thought
There's no sentiment I could see
Slip away if it's just happy
[Verse 4]
There's no sanity anymore
'Cause I can't see what's wrong with me anymore
A little kind love, but now I'm bored
Wish that I could make it right before
[Pre-Chorus]
But I ain't ever gonna be what you want
Any summer, if we talk apart
And I could never never never be what I'm not
[Chorus]
So come on, say goodbye
Yes, you do notice why
There's no time to look back at the love we had
Just stop!
So come on, say goodbye
Yes, you do notice why
There's no time to look back at the love we had
Just stop!
