If You Read My Mind (formerly known as Get The Love I Need) is a formerly unidentified disco/boogie song by New York based musician Columbus Circle (real name Scott Yahney), released in 1982 along with a 12" remix and an instrumental version.

Search History[]

The song was included in a Lyon Funk mix posted to DailyMotion in November of 2011 by user ££YOTISME££/Yotisme. Unlike most Lyon Funk mixes, it was played live in a French nightclub by an unknown DJ.

On November 15th, 2025, the song was reuploaded to YouTube by user Q. Five hours later, it was identified by user Brownboogie69 as If You Read My Mind by Columbus Circle after he presumably recognized the song.[1]

Lyrics[]

I can't remember (???)
Nor can I read into your mind
Just wanna hear the call (???)
All I want to feel is the love you've got inside

If I could love your every weakness
I'd be in total ecstacy
You make feel like (such a), such a man
All I want to give is, my lovin' totally

But when you're not around I just don't feel myself
My heart can't feel unfulfilled
But when the day is done I get the love I need
You're the one I please
That I please

If you read my mind
If you read my mind
Look what we have
If you read my mind
If you read my mind
(???) [here/help]

But when you're not around I just don't feel myself (just don't feel myself)
My heart (???) feel unfulfilled
But when the day is done I get the love I need
You're the one I please
You're the one I please
That I please

If you read my mind
If you read my mind
If you read my mind
Sing it with me
If you read my mind
If you read my mind
If you read my mind
Sing it with me
If you read my mind
