Lyrics

[Intro]
Into the 21st century
This is a programme for revolution
Never say die
Into the 21st century

[Verse 1]
Supply me with a big smile
And keep selling me the things I need
Fast cars and gold guitars, child
Buy me and satisfy your greed, yeah

[Bridge]
RX-1 and a 7-8-9
RX-1 and a 7-8-9

[Verse 2]
There's buggers in the basement
CD, TV and VHS
They're shopping on the moon now
It’s great if you can hold your breath, yeah

[Chorus]
If I had a million dollars
If I had nothing but love, love, love
If I had nuclear missiles, yeah
Then I’d give them all to you (Oo, oo!)

[Verse 3]
They’re singing in the city
And they’re dancin’ to the big band sound
It’s boom time on the market
Collectin’ all those dollars and pounds, yeah

[Bridge]
RX-1 and a 7-8-9
RX-1 and a 7-8-9

[Chorus]
If I had a million dollars
If I had nothing but love, love, love
If I had nuclear missiles, yeah
Well then I’d give them all to you (Oo, oo!)
If I had a million dollars
If I had nothing but love, love, love
If I had nuclear missiles, yeah
Well then I’d give them all to you (Oo, oo!)

[Instrumental Break]

[Outro]
If I had a million dollars!
If I had a million dollars!
If I had a million dollars!
Love, love, love!
If I had a million dollars!
If I had a million dollars!
If I had a million dollars!
Love, love, love!

If?

If? was a pop, electro and rock group from London, England. They formed in the late 80s. The group consisted of: David Collard, Lindsay Edwards, Paul Wells, Rob Marche and Sean McLusky. The band was named after the Lindsey Anderson film of the same name.

They released their first single Saturday's Angels in 1990 to immediate sucess. Saturday's Angels received constant airplay in radio stations, and became number one in the UK club scene. It is also considered a Madchester classic.

In 1991, they released their second single If?, which was slightly successful, but not compared to the first single.

Still in 1991, they released their third single Open Up Your Head.

In 1992, they released their fourth and final single Everything & More, then they released their first and only album English Boys On The Love Ranch at the same year.

Group's lead singer Paul Wells has worked with another lostwave band: Il Gran Teatro Amaro (the band behind Parco Degli Aranci) in their album Port Famine released in 1991.

Paul Wells & Sean McLusky would go on to form Speedway (the band that made Entertainment) around 1994 along with Andrew Gogan and Eddie Auffray.
